Early motherhood can be difficult as having a baby can put a lot of stress and tension on new mum’s body and mind as well. Caught up in the daily ritual of caring for their newborns, new mums completely ignore their own health. This could lead to a host of problems which can be prevented if only a few important things are taken care of.

Here are some tips that will help in caring the new mums:-

DIET

It is very important that you are disciplined about what you eat. Your diet must be balanced one –contaning fiber, antioxidants, proteins, essential vitamins, minerals and more.S ay no to junk foods or processed foods, aerated drinks. It’s important to stay hydrated at all times.

EXERCISE

Light exercise is a must for new mums as it will help your body to tone itself, regularize hormones as well as put you in a good mood. Take out at least 15 mins from your daily schedule for exercise. This will help you and your body active and reduce the chances of stroke, heart diseases, etc. Exercise will also help you in making your immune system strong and also keep you away from diseases.

SLEEP

Inadequate sleep can not only make you put on fat but also results in the advantage of depression. To ensure timely sleep on a regular basis to keep yourself healthy. It is very necessary for new mums to sleep at least 7hrs a day.

MANAGE STRESS

Stress is an unavoidable part of life especially when you are a new mother. However acute stress level can lead to severe health problems. To avoid this opt for activities that help you in relieving tension, such as listening songs, watching a movie, yoga, etc.

CHECKUPS

A routine check-up will keep you safe from serious diseases, such as breast cancer, cardiac problems, and depression. So meet your doctor on regular basis.
