OATMEAL RECIPES FOR A HEALTHY BREAKFAST
To get rid of this boring meal you can make your oats delicious for a healthy breakfast. So, here we present some healthy oatmeal recipes which can add spice to your healthy breakfast;
1. LEMON OATS
For lemon oats, the ingredients you need are:
- a cup of oats
- ¾ cup of water
- 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 ¼ tbsp of lemon juice
- a handful of peanuts
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
- 1 tsp of gram dal
- few curry leaves
- salt and chilly according to taste
How to prepare lemon oats:
Heat the oil in a bottomed pan after add mustard seeds and fry. Then add dal, chilly if you want and curry leaves and mix well till it turns red. Now add and mix turmeric powder. Add salt and water, let it boil. Mix and add oats finally and let it be cooked for 3-4mins. Then add lemon juice and cook for few mins after mixing. Now, you can enjoy by garnishing by peanuts.
2. BANANA OATMEAL
Banana oatmeal is one the healthiest breakfast till yet. For this recipe, you need:
- ¼ banana
- 3 dried dates
- 2 tbsp of chopped walnut and
- serving spoon of oats
How to prepare banana oatmeal:
Chop the dried dates and banana into pieces, the same of chopped walnuts. Cook the oatmeal for a minute on the stove and then stir in banana, dates, and walnuts together. Let them get cooked for few minutes. Now just enjoy the healthy breakfast along with your coffee.
3. OATS DUMPLINGS
Dumplings are everyone’s favorite dish. But try to have healthy dumplings. Ingredients you need are:
- a cup of oats and pre-boiled rice
- 1/2 cup of roasted grams
- ½ grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
- 1 tsp of urad dal
- few curry leaves
- a pinch of asafetida powder
- oil, salt and chilly as per your needs
You need to make a powder of roasted grams and rice. Heat the oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, asafetida powder. After that add 4 cups of water, coconut, and salt. When the water boils, add oats, powdered rice and mix well. Let them cook and allow it to cool. Then take a fistful of the mixture and make balls of it and then steam the balls or deep fry and finally enjoy.
4. NUTTY HONEY OATMEAL
For making this recipe you need:
- 1 ½ cup of oatmeal
- a handful of chopped nuts
- honey
- a pinch of salt
- banana
- milk
First, put grease on proof paper on a baking plate and combine all the nuts with honey. Add salt and spread on the paper and bake for few mins. Then allow it to cool and put oatmeal in a bowl and cover it with milk. Cook it in the oven, then chop a banana into pieces and stir and add nuts and enjoy.
